Our Fearless Leader...

Alena began wedding planning in 2009, after receiving a Certificate in Wedding Planning from the Lovegevity Wedding Planning Institute. She worked as a wedding & event planner for a golf course in Albuquerque, NM, while simultaneously launching her own planning and photography business, unaware of the exciting path ahead.....

Within only a short time, the planning business took off, and Alena jumped at the opportunity to plan weddings full-time. Alena poured her heart into the wedding world and connected a community of the most hard-working and talented professionals in the Southwest. She became an award-winning wedding planner in New Mexico and began to work her way into Colorado & Texas as well. Working with only a select number of couples per year, she worked with many couples flying from all over the world to plan destination weddings in the beautiful New Mexico Desert that she loves.

In 2018, her world took a very unexpected turn, which she summarizes in her book, Return to Love: Restoring the Heart of Christianity. Amid her personal turmoil and need for healing, she decided to shut it all down, get quiet, and become irrelevant. She was divinely led to move to Missouri where there were no more billboards promoting her business, no more social media, just her and Jesus in a prayer room. When she thought she'd emerge and return from her retreat, the world forced everyone to pause in 2019...

Over the next few years, Alena planned weddings here and there, in both Missouri and New Mexico, while she wrote and published a book, launched a ministry, and traveled all over the country to love on people and add her kind of administrative prowess and spiritual guidance to other ministries and events.

Just when she thought she knew the plan, God surprised her again with her own love story. Corbin and Alena eloped at the beginning of 2024 and they are expecting a little bundle of joy to arrive in February. Corbin asked Alena to move to the Ozark Mountains and establish another home base in Hollister, MO. While she looks forward to adding the new title of "mom" to her resume, she is just as excited to expand into the Ozark Mountains with her team of planners, coordinators, and officiants.
